Eric Dudley serves as rector of Christ Church Tallahassee where he is tasked with community outreach activities within a parish that is centrally located, non-denominational, and rooted in the Anglican tradition. Emphasizing the love, grace, and mercy of Christ, Eric Dudley fundraises, preaches, and teaches, while embodying a deep care for others.
Fr. Dudley was previously founding pastor of St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral in Tallahassee, where he grew the church from 750 members to more than 2,300 members. He guided a staff of 34 in purchasing substantial acreage and constructing a Gothic cathedral, and informed building design and elements such as statuary, furnishings, and stained glass. In addition to providing sermons, Fr. Dudley oversaw parish administration and pastoral care.
Mission work is central to Eric Dudley’s identity, and he has worked with those living in poverty in countries such as Guatemala and Uganda. Following Hurricane Katrina, he also engaged in residential rebuilding projects in New Orleans and rural South Carolina. His present mission work centers on assisting those who are poor and homeless across Leon and Gadsden Counties.
